MissionThe Parents Association supports the mission and values of Curtis School by strengthening the student, faculty, and family experience. The PA brings families together through programs, events, volunteer opportunities, and fundraising in support of the Financial Access Program and other important school initiatives.
VolunteeringVolunteerism is a core part of the Curtis experience, and there is no one-size-fits-all way to participate. Some parents lead major events, some serve on committees, some help for one shift, and some support projects from home. All of it matters. We welcome all parents and guardians, whether working or not, new or returning, frequently on campus or helping when schedules allow, to find a way to get involved that works for them.
Community Service & ConnectionBuilding community is at the heart of the Parents Association. The PA creates opportunities for students, families, faculty, and staff to connect through International Lunch Day, Cultural Celebrations, Teacher Appreciation Week, student lunchtime programs, library volunteering, and other community traditions throughout the year.
The PA also supports the greater Los Angeles community through student- and family-led service initiatives, including Curtis Cares Community Service Day, Seedlings, Buds and Blooms, Families Helping Families, and more.
Raising FundsThe Parents Association raises meaningful funds for Curtis’s Financial Access Program and other school initiatives through events and programs including the annual Curtis Fair, Book Spree, Curtis Celebrates!, Party Book, Spirit Gear, and the CougarWear Store.
